Diamond Cut

Cut is considered by many to be the most important "C". Only when precisely calculated planes and angles are used, does the stone achieve its greatest possible beauty. A badly cut diamond, no matter how good its color and clarity will not match the fire and brilliance of a better-cut diamond with comparatively lower color and clarity.

Diamond Clarity

This is a measurement of the diamond's flaws and/or impurities. To determine a diamond's clarity, it is viewed under 10x magnification by a trained gemologist. Small inclusions neither mar its beauty nor endanger its durability.
chart
Flawless - No internal or external flaws.

Internally Flawless - No internal flaws. Very rare and beautiful diamonds which are quite expensive.

VVS1, VVS2 - Very, Very Slightly Included: Very difficult to see inclusions under 10x agnification. An excellent quality diamond.

VS1, VS2 - Very Slightly Included: Inclusions are typically not visible to the unaided eye. Less expensive than the VVS1 or VVS2 grades. Even properly graded VS2 diamonds can have visible inclusions in very large sizes or diamonds that do not have many facets which make flaws more visible such as an emerald shape.

SI1, SI2 - Slightly Included: Inclusions are typically visible under 10x magnification, SI clarity diamonds are usually of the best value since inclusions are not always visible to the naked eye and prices are reasonable when compared to prices of the VS2 clarity and up grades. Some SI clarity diamonds do have visible inclusions and should be evaluated carefully.

SI3 - Slightly Included-Included: SI3 is an EGL grade and is not recognized by GIA or other gemological institutions. The SI3 clarity grade has been adopted by other labs as well. Typically an SI3 clarity grade would usually be given an I1 grade by the GIA.

I1 - Included: an I1 clarity diamond will have a visible flaw which can be seen with the naked eye, but there should only be one major flaw which is not too obvious. Overall the diamond should still look nice however I1 clarity grades vary quite a bit so one should be very careful when making a selection. If your budget only allows for an SI3 or I1 clarity diamond, be sure to examine it thoroughly before purchasing and make sure the inclusions do not detract from the overall beauty of the diamond.

I2, I3 - Included: These diamonds will have inclusions visible to the naked eye, and will have many black spots from the black inclusions and/or appear very cloudy or milky from the white inclusions, feathers and cracks.

Carat Weight

The weight of the diamond measured in carats. One carat is divided into 100 "points" so that a diamond of 75 points weighs 0.75 carats.

Diamond Carat Weight

The scale above depicts the carat weights and diameter sizes of round diamonds (Please note the picture is for comparison purposes only). Other diamond shapes will vary. For example, while a 1 carat round shape diamond is 6.5mm on average, a 1 carat princess shape diamond is often 5.5mm instead.

Since diamonds are measured by carat weight, and not size, two diamonds of the same weight could have different sizes. Why? If a diamond is cut too shallow it will have a larger diameter but a smaller depth. Likewise, if a diamond is cut too deep (or bottom heavy) it will have a smaller diameter and thus appear smaller when viewed from the top.

Cut is very important. A properly cut diamond will both yield a good face up size and sparkle well. For example, let's say you're interested in a 1.00ct round diamond. A poorly cut diamond that is bottom heavy may only have a diameter of say 6.1mm. So not only are you short changed on the face up size, but you get a diamond that was not cut to it’s full potential and thus does not sparkle like it should.

This is why it’s important not just to get the biggest diamond you can afford, but the best cut diamond as well.

Medical, Dental, Legal Malpractice

Malpractice cases can involve doctors, dentists, pharmacists, or lawyers.

Medical malpractice lawsuits can be filed against hospitals, doctors, surgeons, care givers or related healthcare staff whose services resulted in additional sickness, injury or death. Many malpractice lawsuits involve misdiagnosis, prescription errors, surgery mistakes, elder care negligence, or birth problems.

Legal malpractice lawsuits can be filed when a lawyer or legal representation fails in the preparation, execution, or settlement of a client's case, resulting in additional legal consequences.

These lawsuits are designed to hold professionals accountable while securing appropriate compensation for losses and suffering. Since a Statute of Limitations may apply to malpractice lawsuits, the victim or the victim's loved ones should file a complaint as soon as possible.
Common Law -

System of law that prevails in England and in countries colonized by England. The name is derived from the medieval theory that the law administered by the king's courts represented the common custom of the realm, as opposed to the custom of local jurisdiction that was applied in local or manorial courts.

Cardiovascular disease (CVD),

especially heart disease and stroke, remains the number one cause of death in the USA and other developed and industrialized countries. Eighty million Americans suffer some form of cardiovascular disease. Six million Americans are hospitalized and over 10 million are disabled each year in the US alone because of CVD. The financial burden of this disease is staggering; over $300 billion is spent on health care for this disease annually in the US. Unfortunately, we have no “feeling” in our heart or vascular system to indicate to us that something could be wrong.
What is behind this killer disease?
The primary triggers for this disease are stress, smoking, alcohol, lack of physical inactivity, genetics, poor nutrition and poor diet. Poor diet and nutrition, in particular, are prime contributors to CVD. The rising wave of obesity across the world is alarming. There are over 1.6 million overweight adults in the world. That number is projected to grow by 40% over the next 10 years! What is important to realize about this disease is that it can be prevented and/or treated.
FKC scientist’s solution to this cardiovascular disease epidemic is focused on resolving the two major causes of cardiovascular disease:

1) clogged blood vessels, and

2) weakened and damaged heart muscle tissue.

The FKC scientists created a complete health supplement solution to address these dual concerns.
The first component in the solution is CardioMax, which was designed to assist the blood vessels become gradually unclogged and free from atherosclerosis clots. It is also designed to help rejuvenate the heart muscle tissue to pump oxygen and blood filled with nutrients into all tissue, especially the heart muscle tissue.
The second component in the solution is Tri-Antioxidant, which was designed to assist in eliminating the formation of blood clots which can lead to heart attacks and strokes.
The third component in the solution is CalciMagD, which can assist in delivering essential energy to energy-starved heart muscles.
CardioMax helps clear blood vessels from clots by providing multiple molecules; these collectively prevent atherosclerosis clot build-up, as well as assist in clearing the existing blockage to blood flow. Several B vitamins work together to keep the molecule, homocysteine from reaching dangerously high levels known to trigger clot build-up. An essential fatty acid is included to help prevent the inflammatory triggers that begin clot formations. And an antioxidant that specifically prevents oxidative stickiness of cholesterol particles to blood vessel walls is added to complete the blood vessel cleansing formula of CardioMax.
Tri-Antioxidant contains synergistic components with antioxidant molecules that have been shown to protect blood vessels from atherosclerosis and the resulting cardiovascular disease.
CalciMagD energizes every cell in the heart muscle tissue by delivering magnesium, the most important mineral to a living cell. Every step in energy generation in the cells of a heart muscle is dependent on the presence of magnesium.

Protective Foods e-mail this page
What we eat and how we treat our bodies on a daily basis have a very powerful effect on our health and quality of life. Although cancer can affect many different parts of the body, the foods that prevent cancer and deter cancer growth are generally the same. Fruits, vegetables, grains, and legumes all have important nutrients and other cancer-fighting substances like phytochemicals and pectin that strengthen immune function and destroy cancer-causing substances before they cause harm. Research has shown that people who eat a diet free of animal products, high in plant foods, and low in fat have a much lower risk of developing cancer.
CANCER

The Cancer Project promotes cancer prevention and survival through a better understanding of cancer causes, particularly the link between nutrition and cancer. Through research, education, and advocacy, we are saving lives.
Secured data exchange
The common method for securing the exchange of data is to encrypt it. Encryption means that the data transferred over the communication line is encoded in a special way at the sending end, and decoded using the same algorithm in reverse at the receiving end. The data that goes through the communication channel is meaningless to an eavesdropper, even if he does succeed in intercepting the data. Unless the eavesdropper can decode the data, he cannot read it. The encryption strength is dependent upon the length of the encryption key. The key that is used to encrypt/decrypt the data is a very long number. The longer the number, the harder it is, exponentially, to decode the data. Lengths of keys vary between 32, 64, 128, 256 bit and so on. The minimum length for good security is 64-bit. The problem with selecting a very long key is the computing power that is required to encode/decode the message. So selecting a very long key can mean slow processing time. Privacy and data integrity have their own software protocols but are generally handled in the same way as described above.

What is Forex Trading?

The foreign exchange (Forex) market is a nonstop cash market where currencies of nations are traded, typically via brokers. Foreign currencies are constantly and simultaneously bought and sold across local and global markets and traders' investments increase or decrease in value based upon currency movements. Foreign exchange market conditions can change at any time in response to real-time events.

The main incentive of currency dealing to private investors and the attractions of short-term Forex trading are: 24-hour trading, 5 days a week, with nonstop access to global Forex dealers.

Further incentives to Forex trading:
  • An enormous liquid market making it easy to trade most currencies.
  • Volatile markets offering profit opportunities.
  • Standard Forex instruments for controlling risk exposure.
  • The ability to profit in rising or falling markets.
  • Leveraged trading with low margin requirements.
  • Many options for zero commission trading.
Making profit from gold
Some investors believe they can make profit from gold when the price is rising. If they buy, the price will go higher and they can sell for a profit.

Another way a trader can invest is to sell gold when they believe that gold prices will go down. They can sell gold in some markets (like in the Forex market), without “having” the gold, and buy it back later-on. If they are right, they would make a profit.

Gold Investments

Gold has been used for investments for a very long time. It has a high value and is an independent resource. It is not subject to individual countries or trading markets. It is not connected to companies or governments. For these reasons, investment in gold can usually help an investor to avoid some problems that can happen in the economic environment.

Gold investment can mean investing in gold bars, gold coins, and even gold jewelry. Many different sorts of gold accounts are available in the investment world.

Trading in OIL

Oil trading at Easy-Forex® is performed in the same way as Foreign Currencies Trading. It is OTC (Over the Counter) trading which means that the transaction is performed directly between the two parties involved - the buyer and the seller. There is no third party involved, like in an exchange market.

The acronym for oil is OIL. It is measured in barrels but as it is cash settled (non-delivery trading) the physical purchase or sale of the commodity is not actually performed.

Easy-Forex® bases its contract on the US standard for OIL trading, namely the WTI (West Texas Intermediary). Also known as Texas Light Sweet, WTI is a type of crude oil used as a benchmark in oil pricing and the underlying commodity of the New York Mercantile Exchange's (NYMEX) oil futures contracts.

The exchange rate
The exchange rate is always changing. The value of one currency is determined by market supply and demand forces, by comparing it to another currency. In a currency pair, the first currency is called the ‘base currency’; the second currency is called the ‘quote currency’ or ‘counter currency’.

When you buy a currency pair, you buy the base currency and sell the quote currency. The exchange rate tells buyers how much of the quote currency they need to buy one of the base currency. The order in a pair always stays the same, being a common approach by the industry. USD/JPY, for example, is a pair (USD = base, JPY = the quote). The order within the pair, in the way you use the term, does not change. So you either BUY it or SELL it, depending on the direction of the trade. For example: USD/JPY – you either BUY JPY using USD or you Sell JPY to get USD. On the currency rate table on the Easy-Forex® website you can view the way in which each pair available for trade is ordered.

Here is an example: EUR/USD 1.2500 means you need 1.25USD to buy one euro. It also means if you sell one euro you get 1.25USD. All trades involve buying one currency and selling another currency at the same time. If in the next day the Euro is rising against the USD and the exchange rate is now 1.26, for every 1 Euro that you bought, you have earned 1USD cent. Or, if you traded the opposite direction, for every EUR that you sold (at 1.25) you lost 1USD cent (since you “buy” back the EUR for 1.26).
Most common currencies
The most common currencies traded in the market are called ‘majors’. Most currencies are traded against the United States dollar (USD). USD is traded more than any other currency. The five currencies most traded next are: the euro (EUR); the Japanese yen (JPY); the British pound sterling (GBP); the Swiss franc (CHF), and the Australian dollar (AUD). Trades of the six major currencies total 90% of the market.

The most common currency pair is EUR/USD.

Currency Pairs

What are currency pairs?
In the foreign exchange market, currency is traded in pairs. Pairs have meaning in relation to each other so must always stay together.

The two currencies in a pair are traded one against the other. The rate at which they are traded is called the exchange rate. The exchange rate is affected by currency supply and demand.
